Safety First for Adults

The Boulder Police Department in collaboration with the ACL presents a free  Safety First course for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. 

Safety First is a free five week course taught by Boulder Police Officers.

  •  Decision making skills

  • Street smart safety

  • Home security

  • Fire safety

  • Getting around town safely

  • Calling on police support and 911

Safety First for Adults offers small group activities, some classroom-style lecture, and lots of positive interactions with police and fire fighters.

Registration is required. You must register for the entire course. Course dates are: 3/7, 3/14, 3/21, 3/28, and 4/4.

Class time is 4pm to 6pm. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early as the group must be escorted together to the meeting room.
